Frequently asked questions
Can I fill in any PDF form?
Yes. The editor lets you place text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, and dropdowns on any PDF page — even if the original PDF has no form fields. You place them yourself where you need them.
Will recipients be able to fill in the form fields I add?
Yes. Form fields added by PDF Editor are embedded as real AcroForm fields in the downloaded PDF, so anyone opening the file in Adobe Reader, Chrome, or any standard PDF viewer can fill them in.
Is my form data stored anywhere?
No. All form data you type exists only in your browser tab. It is never transmitted to a server. The data is embedded into the PDF when you download it.
Can I add a signature to the form?
Yes — use the Signature tool to type your name in a handwriting font, draw it with a mouse, or upload a scanned signature image. It is placed as an image overlay on the form.
What happens if the form already has fields?
The editor renders existing PDF form fields as part of the page image. You can place new overlays on top. Existing field values from the original PDF are not editable directly, but you can cover them with whiteout and add new ones.
